Candidate for Brantford Ward 3 City Council
Practical judgment. Responsible financial stewardship. Committed local representation.

Growing Brantford together
Gordon Riches was born and raised in Brantford, where his family roots extend back generations. He worked throughout high school and university while earning an Honours degree from McMaster University, before building a long career in account management and international business, working with customers and organizations across Canada and the United States.
Brantford has remained home throughout his life. Gordon built his home here, raised four children here, and remained deeply connected to the community even when his career later required him to work in Toronto.
His professional experience taught him the importance of listening, understanding complex issues, managing competing priorities, working within budgets, and being accountable for results. Those are the same practical disciplines Gordon believes residents should expect from their City Council.
Now retired, Gordon has the time, experience, and independence to serve the community that has always been home. He is running for Ward 3 Councillor to bring a practical, responsible approach to City Hall—focused on strong services, careful management of public money and City assets, thoughtful planning for growth, and decisions that deliver measurable value for residents.
“I’m action- and results-focused—a doer, not a talker.”
